PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION TIPS

3D VISUALIZATION

Use the interactive 3D preview to visualize your shelf design, bracket placement, and mounting configuration before construction.

BRACKET SPACING GUIDELINES

Books and heavy items: 16" max spacing. Light decorative items: up to 32". Always include brackets within 6" of shelf ends.

MATERIAL SELECTION

Pine: economical, lightweight. Oak: strong, premium appearance. Plywood: stable, paint-grade. MDF: smooth finish, avoid moisture.

WALL ANCHOR SELECTION

Drywall: toggle bolts for heavy loads. Studs: 3" wood screws preferred. Concrete: tapcon screws or anchors. Always verify wall construction.

LOAD CAPACITY FACTORS

Capacity depends on span, thickness, material, and bracket strength. Calculations include 4:1 safety factor for residential use.

WOOD MOVEMENT

Allow for seasonal wood movement. Solid wood expands/contracts more than engineered materials. Orient grain perpendicular to length when possible.

FINISHING RECOMMENDATIONS

Sand progressively to 220 grit. Pre-stain conditioner for pine. Apply finish before installation for best results. Allow full cure time.
